Disturbing pictures of the fatal road accident on the Highlands Highway - on the Markham Valley in Papua New Guinea.
Forty people are reported to have died in this nasty accident when two fully loaded passenger vehicles collided head on. They were travelling in different directions. The accident occurred on the 11th of January 2010.
The report about bystanders robbing the dead and injured of their personal effects including money is bad, uncalled for and inhuman. Those people living along the roadside, here and elsewhere need to grow up and have embody some sense of sanity.
Drivers need to take precaution, just like pilots on the airplanes on whose skills and vigilence the travelling public depend.
